Saw a girl today,
Our eyes did meet,
In that special way,
That's so discreet,
Tall dark and lithe,
Work clothes, wellies,
Eyes alive,
Naught contrived.

And that electricity,
Was real for me,
No make believe,
So real to me.

That look she gave,
Surely meant for me,
That look she gave,
So rare indeed,
The look I gave,
She must have seen,
She must have seen,
Clear through of me.

Seeming, dreaming,
Self belief,
So what to do,
How to proceed.

Kinda fancy my chances,
Will she accept,
My fumbled advances,
I'm no adept,
'cause I'm so green,
It's been so long,
So long unseen,
Too long a dream.

With pulse pronounced,
Approach with caution,
Free of doubts,
Destined fortune?

Try my hand,
Throw the dice,
Naught to lose,
One chance at life,
Could be the one,
At long, long last,
Just stay strong,
Forget the past.
