fifteen more minutes

Contributed by RKilgarten on Wednesday, 30th March 2011 @ 11:16:45 AM in AEST
Topic: SecretLove

Jim, call me Jim
just call me Jack
I am the other woman now
and I can't go back

It was drugs and rock and roll
tension terse and hard
resin smears and credit cards
long time coming, sexual

same old tired repitoire
brush it off
turn away
make up a reason and black the light
now he says he wants me to stay

blanking falling go ahead
lets do the deed
lets run it red
shes waiting for him
scraped and bleeding
and i crawl into his bed

all the sources say: men run different
especial when cut to be less resistant

test the theory
its so easy
can it really be so easy
can it really be this easy

this time he is blacked out, standing
a good nights sleep five days away
my ears rush with bloody noise
filling sound of airplanes landing

I'm a giver, but
he wants fifteen more minutes

It was sex and drugs and rock and roll
but I made him leave
faith in men wrecked and dangerous
in the silence he asks reprieve

A raw powerful write
I admire the realness of this passage
temptation is a beast nearly impossible to slay
poetically stirring certainly original
well written

Really an original, gritty piece. Very well penned.
