They say April showers bring May flowers. but what do June showers bring
Do they bring showers of joy to a bride when she recieves her wedding ring
Or maybe showers of laughter as children run and play
Or showers endulged after a long, hard work day
Those muggy showers that make sweat trickle down your back
Or those surprise showers after a water balloon attack
Baby showers that bring an expecting mother blessings and happiness
Tiny showers from eyes of graduates who have achieved success
But there is a one shower that June brought me
The missing touch and carress of a man I can not see
The voice and laughter that carried me through hard times
could only be heard through glass from a telephone line
Those eyes and lips got me singing the blues
One day he was here, the next gone without a clue
Heavy showers and I am praying to make it through
Emotional showers because I am missing you
June Showers

wow. very beautiful work. i know its a bit on the sad side, but your heart and soul was into that work. what i love the most about it is your transitions between happy and sad. it shows your outlook is positive, but your in pain. love it |

an enjoyable read. A bit melancholy, but richly flowing. Penned with an eye for detail. Nice work. |
