Hard, unbroken, soaking in a
-- Why don't I just turn away
And never hurt another day?
So helpless here before my hand
To wake, to thirst, and long expand
Upon the virtues 'neath the sand
Where ere I built a castle grand--
The pearl of the golden strand.
My beach cut;
Ravaged, faded,
Shining melancholy grey,
Like a circle on my mind
(1-dimensional rewind)
Find the path to make the find.
Regressing lines reveal the bind
That silver flowing streaks consigned
From Sun to Moon to silt, aligned.
Till past from present, disenshrined
Till light from darkness comes, refined
I will not turn, though I go blind.

a strong write, well crafted and quite vivid. Really rather good. I wouldn't change a thing. |
