CREATURE OF THE NIGHT

The night darkness, still, moon shines
Illuminates, casts shadows upon the dense,
foreboding forest.
Fog drifts across the misty bog.
All silence ceases.
An unearthly howl is heard,
Terrifying, frightening to the ear.
Animals flee, a presence sensed
A murderous growling heard.
Look over the horizon!
A furry-like creature walking upon two feet
Razor-like claws, blood dripping,
Drooling from ravenous mouth
Seeking its prey.
Roaming.
A compunction to kill.
Animal viciously ripped apart.
Dawn, sun rises, mysteriously, mystically
Wolf-creature transforms to man.
A curse, plague haunts him.
Blood of innocents on his hands.
Mind tormented, knowledge he’s the killer.
Mark of pentagram upon his being
Torments of the damned haunt him.
Seeks cure, none known.
Only silver bullet into heart can kill.
Fiendish devil within, death brings peace.
