Tears of Mourning Dew

A heart untended weeps awake into the small hours of the night;
A chain of recent unpromising events
combines and blends with the melancholy melodies of the night.
As the faint rays of the early light drizzles colour over the silhouetted land,
the dark thins away. In muted suppression,
the forlorn heart’s unshed tears settles in a sheet of mourning dew
