This misty pool of memories, reflects your face so clear
Though time sends ripples to distort, your focus never wanes
You are the perfect snapshot, no dull or faded tones
A newly painted picture, vividly defined
Etched into the porcelain of an ever changing world
Engraved in my emotions, signed bold across my heart
Indelible this mark upon the pages that I am
So closely interwoven with the fabric of my soul
How many lives once intertwined now echoes doomed to fade
Diluted by a day, a week, a month, another year
Consigned to recollection, where facts become misplaced
Usurped by here and present,bombarded into dust
When days crawl helpless to the end and minutes seem like gold
You will be there to comfort me, a beacon to the dark
And when I pass to shadow, when chapters cease to flow
I'll think of you, recall what was, before I close my eyes

| And when I Pass to shadow.........I'll think of you, no greater accolade can be given to someone other than that they are etched in such definition on your soul that even when you are going to pass from this world then they are who you will be thinking of,beautifully written and both poet and poetry always great to see on this site x |

| Being lazy I choose to read the poem with the most comments. Man the second half was beautiful and I love the analogy of relationships being diluted by time. Hit the nail on the head. Well done |
