On the wings of romance

Don’t hide romance, don’t choke back tears,
Mistakes destroy your precious years,

Oh bring me back to better times,
Of love… of hope, and things sublime,

Look in my eyes… oh can’t you see,
The love that’s deep inside of me,

Look in my heart, what do you find?
A calming, loving, sense of mind,

Look to the sky, you’ll find me there,
Hiding from life’s bitter glare,

For this is where I found your love,
And holding it… I rose above,

To fly so free, such sweet new wings,
Not dampened by the rain life brings,

So come my love… and fly again,
Here I will be… until the end,

Of time and space, and freedom’s embrace,
For love can outlast both destiny and fate.
