Look, see, who’s that coming
down to the village town?
The sun’s glistening as it shines
upon his reddish colors
Proudly displaying,
strutting his feathers to all
The crown on his head shows his lordship
A wondrous sight to behold
Proud leader of the pack
Listen as he declares his territory
with a mighty “cock-a-doodle-do!”
Always there, very friendly, welcomes all
Loves to be fed by you.
Glance upon this handsome bird:
One of a kind, king of the roosters!
