Racked with anger, wrapped in pain
mercy lies there beaten. slain
peace restored but all are drained
tension builds up once again
what of mercy?
what of pain?
All repeats like jungle rain.
Lines are drawn upon the sand
other side will fail to stand
thankful of the upper hand
we'll celebrate with a big band
what of others?
what of sand?
victory. is that so grand?
Despots rule to show the way
hiding well their feet of clay
power slowly ebbs away
til it's another despots day
what of justice?
Who will stay?
Refugees will show the way.

I'm actually writing a research paper on Qaddafi so when I saw the title,
I just had to read it, and I'm glad I did because it was wonderfully catchy.
Great write,
Kara |
