A Titanic Clash Of Emotions

Contributed by Dirkj on Thursday, 10th March 2011 @ 12:21:39 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

It was a strange day
Me with a heavy heart
You with a teardrop
Hiding in the corner of your eye
But I said nothing
It was a situation
I was too scared to try

You said you needed help
I Said come over tonight
But make it early since I have to go out
Well knowing we have never been alone
Outside the four walls of our place of work

Outside a typical Gauteng thunderstorm started
Heavy lightning
Lot's of rain
Maybe a sign of things to come

A Knock on my door
I Opened it
You looked so funny
Wet hair and make up running
Just like Alice Cooper in the old days

I Gave you a kiss on the forehead
Just to make you feel better
Instead i found the tension in your body
Send shockwaves through my veins
My blood boiled like a volcano
Ready to blow

It was like a dream
When you pushed me up the wall
Your wet clothes lying
In a little bundle on the floor
We fell on the sofa
Our minds so focused
On supplying each other the energy
We needed to stay sane in a
totally insane moment

You never left
I never went out
Soaked by our fears
And comforted by our tears
We slept all night
Till we watched a beautiful sunrise
High up in the sky
