Love Lost

I am a tree,
Not fine, not fair,
But lost in nothing,
Nothing is there.
But a vise of chains,
Wrapping and bounding,
Disappointment and honor
Is all the sounding.
For a love that is lost,
Is not love at all.
But watch me dance,
Watch me fall.
No arms to lock,
To give warmth or embrace,
Confines me alone,
Alone to this lonely place.
Again, dare I ask?
Would you save me from this?
Not a wave or a hug,
But be condemned to a kiss.

Hmmmm...sort of abstract but I do like it!
For a love that is lost,
Is not love at all.
There's a lot of truth to that lline.
Thanks,
Tim |
