A lover's sleep

The night is dark, the hours late,
music in the background plays so faint.
Your head on my chest, my arms around you,
bodies locked in lover embrace.
Silent’s in the air, but volume spoken in our eyes,
the fragrance of your skin penetrates my mind.
I kiss you softly and whisper, good night my love,
as we drift off into a lover's sleep.
