So tired of the relentless drumming of my heart
Its rhythm keeps me awake in the endless dark
So pointless every breath I feel, the air is stale and the world just doesn't seem real any more
Tell me what should we do when fate slams the door on our once fake but still relatively normal lives
In which we strive to make a stand and end ever to survive in relative peace...
God please, silence the drums; give me some kind of release

| the ying to the yang of the last poem. Nicely done. I love these two poems juxtaposed, closer to the reality of love that exists when two people are together. |
