LoveRemembered

like a child she gets confused easily
in her dreams she's free falling
out of control and naive beyond repair
but nothing can stop her spiraling mind
from plummeting into this foreign place
a place she doesn't belong
the place that consumes her
and holds her soul hostage
brutal, without remorse
the walls close in, time slows down
the only dream she can muster is escape
so I pretend I'm with you again.
and I feel free.
but it's in that moment I finally realize
you don't matter
you never did.
and it's only then that
I'm finally really free

Can we say liberation? It's damn good to read that, but believing it is the hard part. |

I have to agree with the previous comment, this feels like an awakening, the dawn of liberation.
Nice work.
