Green Eyes Haunt Me...

for some reason it was hard to breathe,
whenever you looked at me,
maybe the butterflies blocked my airway,
and why do green eyes haunt me to this day,
sort of like I'll never get away,
how can I break free,
of the only love I've ever known,
and there's a reason i hate snow,
because that winter we talked alone,
with your radio playing,
songs of better days,
and I had to leave,
b/c it was getting late,
and I knew,
this would probably be the last time i saw your face,
so I tried to make it last,
but I couldn't stop day break.
and now,
the parking lot freaks me out,
just looking through that gate,
it brings back the past,
like driving by your house,
I don't cry as much anymore,
but those were days they will always last,
time will never stop my pain...

Beautiful! It all really paints a picture. I like the way you put b/c instead of spelling it out. It made it more personal, like I was reading you diary. It's a smll thing you may not have even thought about, and if so, that is what made it good.
Sorry about your pain. I hope you will find love again.
