A Little More Than Nothing.

Contributed by CommasCanSeperate on Saturday, 5th March 2011 @ 11:07:22 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

Moments when undecided tears await their fall
the times I feel there is no one at all.
Confused little droplets run down their set road
no idea why they are so eager to go.
Uncertain mini puddles and water stained sleeves
my hearts melts away and my soul whinnies and grieves
The hours my beat feels so awful far away
it’s just one of those days today
Absolutely no clue I see no explanation
why should there be when there isn’t a question
Each sparkle of my cast over to dull vibes
where everything bright is keeping their hide
Those nightmares that you can’t put on a face
energy depleted by something strangling embrace
Grasp your hands for just one more day
If it can’t get worse it gets better they say
Holds back the undecided tears and it doesn’t even hurt
the only emotion I will feel today is if I give in and cut.

Sometimes the only thing that can break numbness is something physical. That is the theme here to me. If I have that right, I totally agree.

This may sound crazy, but try running. You get to a point where your legs and lungs burn. Then you feel your body fighting to breathe, and blood is pumping and you escape everything for a while.

The only time I can get out of my own head and feel connected to an inescapable reality of life is during a bike ride, hiking or running up hills. I feel calm, relaxed and peaceful. Only then. I wish I could do it every day.
