Metamorphoses

Topic:
selfstruggles
|
The blue horizon slowly stills,
Holds its breath, expectation.
From chaos; a man, order,
Dull beauty, fearless symmetry.
Perfect faith reflected faithfully
From His gaze.
An idol, masterpiece
Holds out his hand,
The world trembles, proved unworthy.
Fall away, fall away...
Behind those eyes I saw:
Tigers mimic flame, reaching out.
The stars above forget themselves,
Look on in shame, reflexive doubt.
Karmic winds roar and swallow me whole.
At once I woke, and heard your voice;
In vanity you clearly spoke.
At last drew breath, and on it swore
To fall away, fall away...
Fall away no more.
