Flirtationship

Contributed by Lonelyguy92 on Thursday, 24th February 2011 @ 03:46:25 PM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

We were in a flirtationship
We were more than friends
But we were no boyfriend and girlfriend

We used to talk allot
We used laugh allot
And every day, you
Is who I would think about
We used to say
LOVE YOU LOTS!
And pick each other forget me nots

We were in a flirtationship
We were more than friends
But we were no boyfriend and girlfriend

We used to hold hands
And walk on the beach barefoot
So we could feel the sand
I used to sing to you
You used to love me and I loved you too
You used to fall asleep in my arms
And every time I was stressed
You would hug me and make me calm

We were in a flirtationship
We were more than friends
But we were no boyfriend and girlfriend

But somehow someway
A year passed by
And your heart went away
You didn't love me like before
And we didn't talk like we did
no more
And even tho you broke my heart
I still have the pieces
Cause with a friend like you
I can't bare to part

We were in a flirtationship
We were more than friends
But we were no boyfriend and girlfriend

I didn't know anyone else has been through what I have. This poem is exactly what I hoped it would be. I will be posting a poem I have written soon on my own flirtationship... my empathy lies with you

There is no cure for solitude, loneliness, or its many close relatives in depression. But poetry helps. And I hope this helped, because it strikes a chord in me without trying. And that's when I know something beautiful is being said, in words only the beautiful can muster.

Thank you.
