Internet Terror

Contributed by Depression-chan on Wednesday, 23rd February 2011 @ 04:47:13 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Alone in the cold and dark
Fear is in the air
Hear the cry of the frightening lark
Cover your ears from the sound
Take a peek, don't you dare

Your eyes closed tighter than tight
Golden eyes seeing no more
It's hard to tell day from night
Hands struggling against a tied rope
It's hard to see how anyone can cope

A tear falls down your face
Dirty streaks leave their trace
Starved to death nearly every day
Poor little Christy Clay
Why'd you go to that place?

Without your mother's consent
You snuck out to meet him
You waited for him to present
Thinking he was a teen boy named Drew
Oh, oh. Why can't that be true?

He stole you away with his lies
Now, you're his washed-up prize
Caring was a lie he used to lure you in
When you were online, he was your friend
He promised you the world, did he not?
So why leave a friend to die on a moldy cot?

Malnourished you die
Please don't cry
Just hope for others like you
Oblivious to the truth
Inform them of the lurking dangers
Help them be safe from the sneaking strangers

Keep the internet safe, report cyberstalking
Remember NEVER to meet in person
The world is dangerous these days
Please be safe while online

Saddened.
If this has happened to you, I'm sorry. I'd give you a hug if I could.
Even more saddened thinking about it. =
