Sirens of the world

Sirens at sea swirling below my feet
congregated in luminous masses
their enticing sounds pierce my soul
blind to their treachery
eyes fixed on the horizon
hues of pink brush against my salt drenched lips
their allure transcends the vibrations in the sky
a beauty beyond visual
the yearn for this perfection to seep through my skin has strengthened with every toxic
breath I take
the desire for something that is tied to such destruction is an enigma
The human creature is no match to the sirens of the world
humans are emotional and translucent
driven by instant gratification
the sirens wait patiently with their promise of escape
we rely on the sirens of the world
unable to cope on our own
the moment we let go they pull you to their unimaginable depths
