End of a Familiar Romance

Contributed by xHeathenx on Monday, 21st February 2011 @ 06:48:01 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I apologize if it's too short, I've recently been writing poems in my cell phone's "notes" function, so I don't forget good pieces or lines that come to me, especially at work.

What is love?
Can we be sure?
It's a word without
any single meaning
and expressed in or by
the context of our
very own emotions.
For me it isn't known
but it's felt. I feel it
every time you look
at me, and all I can do
is smile out of happiness.
I feel it as I hold you
While you slowly drift away
and start to fall asleep.
I felt it when we had played
hard to get, even though
we had both been gotten.
I felt it when we looked
at the stars, and picked
one to be only ours.
One that was unique
(just like you).
I felt it when we kissed
and when we made love
and I felt still...
When you left me.
