Hear the news?
It’s all over town.
The big tent is going up.
Fun and laughter and enjoyment will
take away your problems and frown.
Come, see, enjoy: it’s coming here.
It’s all here to bring you lots of cheer.
Lions, tigers, elephants, lots of animals to see.
They’re getting ready to prepare this great
show for you and me.
See the colorful, hilarious, funny clowns.
They’ll make you giggle yours sides off
All over your body up and down.
Daredevils like the “Human Cannonball”
shot out of a cannon
will give thrill to us all
High-flying acrobats, swinging, dangling in the air
They defy the heights with danger, with care,
as they do dare.
Lion tamer places his head inside the lion’s mouth
Let’s all hope all goes well and pray his head comes out!
Elephants doing tricks all in a row
They link each other up with their tails, head to tow
See the graceful horses as they do their tricks
for you and me
Such a wondrous sight to see!
Hear the Ringmaster say, “The time is ready
for the show to start.
It’s Circus Time, so all come out and
be ready to have fun, play and shout!”
Circus, circus, it’s here to bring cheer
It’s the greatest one on earth, I do hear.
