The rain was dancing in the parking-lot
and I was watching from the side-lines
Until I felt brave enough to cut in
and as I did.. it cut through me
cutting me down as if it knew me..
The rain is just a girl
she stays long enough to get me wet
and just as i start enjoying it
she's gone again
You'd think by now i'd see it coming from the calm..
but some folks just never learn
and the rain keeps pounding its temporary footsteps into itself
and i'm still watching
thinking.. maybe if I keep my distance
she will stay with me a little longer this time..
It's all so beautiful
and improvised
and i'm pitiful
drowning on the side-lines
just for a chance to soak up a little more..

| love is beautiful..even if it brings pain. so just soak up. when it rains it pours... it will stop raining, yes...but it will come again another day. |
