Falling drops stop for a moment to cling onto a leaf.
While falling stars never seemed to be so far.
Losing love carves a cavern far deeper than the sea.

Stained pink cheeks like apple blossom pettals
Empty open hands streaching for anything
My love flew off on a chilly autumn dream.

Sparks of something beautiful fly beaneath the trees
While sad songs are sung from birds who cannot understand.

I gave you everything just to see you smile
And my heart sang with every passing day

I actually like this poem. It does carry a bit of sadness, but captures the feeling of that moment very well, and the title even though I felt was slightly questionable at first, also does the same.

Thanks for sharing your feelings in those creatively vivid words. Very nice read.
