Moon Walk.

Contributed by cashfan1 on Saturday, 19th February 2011 @ 01:09:17 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Tonight moon is walking on water.
Ignited by solitude it creeps across the lake
With delicate silky steps.
In the frosty burning distance
An owl measures the silence,
His chest puffed with soppy pride.
The air reverberates with his spine tingling call.
And all the while the night slowly matures,
Darkness meandering along path
And in wood, settling between the winter trees.
By ghostly stump and in secret hollow
The moon arrives with a giant golden smile,
Brushes away the stars and clouds,
Settles for simplicity,
Treading the water of the mountain lake.

Both excellent imagery and an imaginative story line. Once again, you paint a beautiful picture with your words and bring the galaxy to life in the reader's mind. Thank you.

Hi Dennis,

Just brilliant, Dennis. Nature in all her wonder
owes you a great deal - you sell her beauty in
words of pure integrity!

Tommy
