Valentine Plea

Topic: SadPoetry

The rain pours outside my window.
There's a certain tune to it.
Your words still eco,
They are bound to linger
In this wet and cold valentine.

I know everything is clear now.
I know we are not meant to be together,
But there's one thing left to say
So please hear me out.

Remember me, even though we didn't last much.
But what we had, I shall always treasure.

Remember me, when going to sleep at night.
Think about how many times I was in your dreams.

Remember me, even in the distance.
Take me with you, wherever you might go.

Remember me, even across time.
Twenty years from now, please remember me.

Because I'll be remembering you,
And the thought of you remembering me...
It'd be nice.

I really like those lines. The piece was great overall! Very sad but well written, I can relate with the emotions of remembering lost love. I hope you always cherish the memories and find brighter days soon. Great write!
