Tick tock, tick tock
Each tick of the tock makes us rush here,
rush there
Always busy, always the need to complete
Always doing the pace of this big clock that
runs our lives.
Our eyes become transfixed on this
majestic metallic thing
With its ever-reaching arms
It controls us.
We become obsessed, self-absorbed
We gauge our lives around this thing of our fate.
People change, we change, years change,
communities change, generations change.
It’s all unchangeable, irreplaceable.
Stop! Take time out
There’s plenty to do with your life
until you give it all
to FATHER TIME.

It's a cool poem. The idea of time being in control makes sense because you're on such a limited schedule everyday. In fact you and I were lucky you even had the TIME to write and share it! |
