death negotiating

Contributed by elle on Tuesday, 8th February 2011 @ 10:58:26 AM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

insufficient quiver. . .

you ate away my struggling
& nuances of hurt
of hope

withering beneath your feasting
I wanted. . .
just. . . to peel away
that membrane
where you set bloom
or mist my sleep
to cease the deep
& dark cupboarding of gloom

my face, concave
flesh gave away
the tone & verve
the essence & the vigor

gave up the ghost
I felt morose

but still. . .

death did deliver

Very deep and very strong. Well written in a smooth readable style. Thanks for sharing.

Oh elle..... unbelievably intense. And passionate. That last line
is so wonderfully juicy, I could taste it....
Amazing, as your work most certainly always is. I adore this.
Right from the first delicious line to the last.

On a side note (I know, I know, I'm typing it first) death did negotiated with Dean on Super Natural. Smile!

Damn this is sad. I don't handle death well and this definitely brings that feeling with it...this this awesome write of yours. And actually? The power of your writing does convey images of horror in me ol' cranium.

Phew, another great from Elle.

yep - one of the true certainties. we should teach that one earlier to the kiddies. Can we negotiate? maybe the method, if we are lucky, but never, never the outcome.
