Wanting
I want love but it certainly don’t want me
I look but never get to touch
I smile but get the knock back
I am wanton
I want what you have, love
I am not evil or a fool
So why can’t I be granted this?
I write poetic verse for Gods sake! I’m a romantic soul!
I want my heart to flutter
I want it to skip a beat
I want to smile till it hurts
I want to hold you in my bed
I want us to grow old together
I’m wanting, waiting, wasting away
Where is my love, will they come find me soon?
Who will kiss my tears away?
