you look at me
I can’t read your face
what does it mean
what are you thinking
I’ll never know
you’ll never tell me
because that’s just who you are
and I hate it
but I love it even more
why are you
so imperfectly perfect
I can’t stand it
you’re everything I need
and everything I don’t need
but you’re everything I want
you make this so hard
without even knowing it
I wish I could tell you
you’re everything to me
I just wish I you knew
I can’t tell you
I wish you could read my mind
it would be easier
but you can’t
if we could talk
without speaking
just looks and glances
we’d never shut up
but we can’t
there’s so many things
we can’t do
but the one thing we can
we don’t
we don’t talk
you’re everything I need
and everything I don’t need
but you’re everything I want
you make this so hard
without even knowing it
I wish I could tell you
you’re everything to me
I want you to know
but then I don’t
you already know a little
but not all
I’m not ready for you
to know it all
but I am ready
for you to talk to me
your looks and glances
don’t say enough
you’re everything I need
and everything I don’t need
but you’re everything I want
