As the light succeeds the dawn,
Near and far… virtue…is gone,
As the world… turns to grey,
Heedless thoughts… in those who stray,
Biased action rules the masses,
We compete… to move… the fastest,
Hypocrisy, in our society,
Walking clones destroy variety,
To gods we pray, deliver us please,
For love we kneel… we beg, we plead,
Arrogantly we don’t look back,
Lunging forward, we have lost track,
Of values and of things we loved,
This mask… it is… societies glove,
Too good to make those past mistakes,
We move too fast… our structure shakes,
Confused we grab at what we see,
When all we want is to be free,
From all distraction, this game we play,
Society’s pawns, with gold we weigh,
The worthiness of other fools,
It is harsh, and it is cruel,
And yet we cannot open our eyes,
We hide inside our fake disguise,
Values gone, virtue is dead,
Through our counties veins… it bled.
