The Lace Curtain, Never More

The bell chimes its final toll
The end of time is near
Bitterly you realize what was stole
You shed your final tear
Your old friend Anger swoops in with ease
She grinds your bones to dust
Blindly you've stumbled to your knees
To come to terms with what you must
Eyes wide open, seeing all
Torrents of emotion rock you to the core
Truths unveiled, the lies they fall
Once held behind the lace curtain, never more.
