Memories from your past;
the bad seem to be forgotten at last.
No matter how hard you try, they are still a part of you,
but it's never too late to be brand new.
Just find your strength within,
and remember.. who you are is not what you've been.

I like this! Short, but carries a powerful message. What great truth rings out in the final line, "who you are is not what you've been." Excellent! |

This poem is absolutely amazing. The stanza saying “no matter how hard you try, they are still a part of you, but it's never too late to be brand new” is one of the best metaphors I seen which had to consist of a rhyming pattern. Great job! |
