Running in a Circle

Running in a circle,
Almost out of ground
Digging deeper ditches,
And falling farther down
Past hatchets long since buried,
And memories left to rot
Were what was once important
All amounts to naught
Blinding sky of the forgotten
Consuming all my light
Futile thoughts, unwanted
Keep me awake all night
And when every word is spoken,
When all is said and done
I realize one most simple fact
False hope’s better than none

I like it. The third stanza breaks your rhythm a little bit, but it happens so...
In any case, keep writing.
