Cartoon

I’m not a cartoon hero
I’m just a human and a zero
I could be so much more
If only my skills could be recognised by you all

If I was a cartoon hero
You could read about me each day in your newspaper funnies
The adventures of a poet and his mundane, insane life
Solving crime with words not violence, using logic and reason

But I’m just an average G
Writing poems on Your-Poetry
You’re lucky if you read me
I’m funny, crass and to the point
Like inhaling without smoking that joint
