The woman she rules us, those women they do,
Since the Stone Age our needs encompassed in you,
Provoking machismo, prompting the fight,
Alongside chivalry, flirtation, delight,
Delicate beauty; curvaceous desire,
The rose and the thorn; the ice and the fire,
What enticement, what power, enchantment within,
From woman comes man, woman and sin,
Wars worldwide, internal and out,
Providing for women was where these took rout,
Mans moderation; civilization’s advance,
Acquisition of knowledge; a veil that enchants,
Coexistence of all the aim that beholds,
Ill-considered procreation led evils untold,
What woe to those men ensnared by the self,
Relegated to solitude, self-doubt, ill-health,
Women’s one desire, society’s basal aim;
Women’s approbation; that families sustain,
Absence of affection manifest absence of wealth,
Trust less distance, lust, the self,
Spurned by the masses left out to rot,
For what was their progress; why were they begot?
The wise man doth learn that women behold,
All power and understanding all truths untold,
What pleasure beholds that man who can find,
The woman that matches; his one of a kind,
For what is man without his wife?
Devoid of purpose, devoid of… life?
