My Neglected Emotion

My strength fell to you as you stole my thoughts,
You clouded my sky and took charge of my mind.
I longed for compassion and desired your beauty,
You're my neglected emotion, which I still need to find.
My weakness, you drove me far beyond your mountains,
Then struck me back down to my desert for a while.
I loathed, I hated, your great, regal arrogance,
Yet I'm conquered, I'm shattered, when met by your smile.
Words are just rain, amongst the flood of my passion,
And I realise one day that we may have to part.
You've impeded my dreaming and transformed my soul,
But I thank you my love, for you gave birth to my heart.
