Giving Up

Contributed by Destiny on Wednesday, 23rd April 2003 @ 07:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I've given up on life.
The bottle say to take 4 in 24 hours, well I've taken eight.
I cut my wrists too, to seal the job and now things look kind of fuzzy
the pill bottle falls from my hand and pills dart away from it, rolling away in drops of blood
are they my blood, wait who's bleeding?
I'm so confused now maybe you can help me clear my head.
This must be the end.
but the end of what?
the end of pain and suffering and knowing everday that I'll die alone and I can't do anything about it.
well I can change that
I decided to die now
I gave fate no choice and no rest.
His shadow's falling over me now
I've given up

That was a very heartlfelt poem, angry as it was. As someone else said, don't give up, there is always something worth living for. Get it out through poetry. Well done.
