Caught In Dream Country.

Noticing joy in a winters scene,
To busy to realise it once was yours,
Now each passing moment seems only a dream,
In the quest to unlock gates and open doors.
For not what you see but what you seek,
Do the bedsheets unravel at the break of day,
Too blind now to see the rewards you reap,
By just being you in every way.
But in the end will it prove worthwhile?
As you bath in sunlight upon a sandy shore,
Will the once furrowed brow revert to smile?
And the joy that was hidden return once more.
