The silence and dark are my only visitors,
I sit on my bed with my face in my hands.
My mind used to be a great inquisitor,
Of who I am and where i stand.
I think of everything and nothing,
Jumping around from thought to thought.
I need an answer, solution or something,
But misery is all I got.
I'm so alone, broken and down,
I feel as if I'll never win.
No wonder why I wear a frown,
Its been etched into my skin.
My cheeks are wet from falling tears,
There's circles around my eyes.
I'm trying to face my pain and fears,
And rid myself of all the lies.
I can now say without a doubt,
You were the best part of me.
Since the day that you checked out,
My heart remains debris.
So this is what they call regret,
So that's how anguish feels.
I lost the greatest girl I met,
And suffer my own ordeals.

Powerful, I really enjoyed this. You really did a great job showing how one person can shatter your whole universe, even cause you to lose sight of who you are. Excellent. |
