That little girl**

Contributed by Jilli_bean on Wednesday, 23rd April 2003 @ 04:05:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

walking home once again
Completely consumed in her tears
who is that little girl
with many of fears

Innocent and shy
untrusting of her friends
unworthy of her own feet
she wishes to make amense

Running and Jumping
Playing with joy, so naive
denying the fact, that she will one day grow
"ouch" she ripped her pink sleeve

Continuing to grow older
Birthdays come and gone
Teenage hormones start to rage
because getting older was such a con

it was a lie, it was
why weren't the warnings there?
How come she didn't know
things just weren't fair

They should have told her
that sex can lead to harm
the "boy" who "convinced" her
he was such a charm

soon he would leave for the last time
carrying off her innocenceand leaving a child
scared and alone
she had been defyled

she told them it was her fault
that he didn't force her
she had almost convinced her self now, too
until he shockingly returned to her

he said he was sorry
said he wanted her, and needed
to be with her and the baby
foolishly she accepted, and he began to feed

draining her now of her friends and family
peeking 15 she held her two year old
with "him" behind her at 19
she was forced into a mold

then...

Finally breaking free
them...discovering wha a creep he'd
been to that little girl**
in jail now, he had been caught with weed

her mother came weeping
she now weakened and crying
it was his birthday...sean was 3
re-reaching that people she left, with no more lying

It was now all over
she had lived through it
her one and only joy, sean
was her one and only memory of that night of fit.
