A glorious fantasy.

Contributed by huwbeauty on Tuesday, 18th January 2011 @ 07:28:47 AM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Dreaming of a place and time,
Where we find our stars aligned,
In your eyes,
I see our lives,
Found,sublime,
Bound,entwined,
For all eternity.

But when you dream,
You must wake up,
You'll never ever,
Be enough,
You'll never ever,
Feel her love,
It'll only ever be,
A glorious fantasy.

So back to sleep,
To dream my dreams,
I hold her near,
There's no fear,
We touch,embrace,
The perfect place,
I hold her close and she,
Says she won't be leaving me,
I hold her hand, just like I planned,
I say the words she understands,
Then she whispers in my ear,
That she only has one fear,
That soon she'll wake,
And stop dreaming,
Of me.

Love really is a glorious fantasy. A dream that too often dies.

Great writing as always. You have a knack of drawing the reader in and taking them along the path of your mind, a mind littered with deep feelings beautifully expressed. Well done.
