Only a Lie

Lie to me again
This battle you can't win
You can't help but worry
15 steps ahead of Ian
But I'm in no hurry
I see you're fate
But mine is blurry
Stop being fake
There's so much more to life than making cake
This broken system makes me ache
Set me free
Turn me loose
I'll follow the breeze
While you tighten the noose
I'll watch it all go up in smoke
From a distance
Down the road
A one man resistance
A lost hope
Or is it a last hope
I can't tell the difference
Just open your eyes
I know you can see
Whats behind your little wall of insanity
So take your pills and hide inside
I will see you soon
I'm gonna try another ride
I'll go to the moon
Before I watch our lives
Dry up and die
Maybe one day you'll see
A voice in your head will leave
And when all you hear is your pain
And the materials have all washed away
Your vision starts to fade
Just know that on this day
You won't lie anymore
When you're buried in the shade
