Broken she walks
With a limped stride
Much like her feelings
She had once known
As her own pride
She's a victim
To Social Judgment
Social Stigma
and undermining
Why can't one person
see her for whom
she truly is?

Sadly no one can escape judgment in life, especially those unfortunate enough to stand out from the norm. Life can be cruel to some, but finding something to love can ebb that pain. |

Because they suck? I was answering this: Why can't one person
see her for whom
she truly is?
I really like the way you tied in her feelings with her physical characteristics of limping.
I think there is at least one person out there that can see us for who we really are, unfortunately, it's just finding that person that can prove difficult.
Great poem. Thank you for an enjoyable read.
