Depressions Vampyr

Contributed by wyrd_faerie on Tuesday, 22nd April 2003 @ 07:35:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

She’s a beautiful stranger in black standing in the rain, devoid of pain
She roams the streets at night and she calls your name
Takes you home and fills your head with her playful lies
Lets you sip on her poison as she undresses you with her eyes
She’ll lie you down, wrap her arms around you and whisper promises to your mouth
Handcuff you to her black bed and take your innocence to hear you shout.
Wilted roses fall from her lips and the thorns sting your kiss
Her mind shines through her eyes to entice you into her bliss
You’re a slave to her pretty games and twisted lies
Her heavy eyes are closed as she feeds off your cries
She’ll whip you, leave you bleeding but begging for more
She’ll chew you, use you, leave you broken and sore.
Her shadow dances around the room, your bodies entwined
Newspaper pictures lost in time lie frozen in your mind.
Scars on her body, proof of all the angels she’s taken before
Locked under her spell and made into her whore
You’re a prisoner to her painful kisses,
You’re a slave to her vampyr wishes.
Bound to her, covered in chains and black leather ropes
Your mind lies lost and forgotten as she takes all your hopes.
Addicted to her body, addicted to the smell of her skin,
She opens her endless eyes and draws you in
She’ll tie you up, overpower you and lick your wounded face
As you lie, weak and willing in her velvet embrace,
She’ll take a drag of your suicide branded cigarette and stub it out on your skin
As her blackened eyes open your mind, and the pain falls in…

holy wow! Your use of extended metaphore in this is consistantly mind blowing throughout the poem....I was completely entranced reading it and feel I could read it over and over again and find no boredom in the repitition. As I too suffer from depression, I can relate to every word....it is incredible that you are able to express something so ugly w/ such beauty and finess..... I must say you are exceptionally talented! I can't wait to read more of your work....

It's absolutely wonderful!!! I am just falling short of words as to describe how beautifully you have created the scenario in your well written poem. While reading, I was really lost in it. Gooooood Work!
