Winter in Arkansas

Topic: LoveRemembered

I don't want to think about you,
Because you hurt my heart,
Getting my head messed with,
Was all a big part,
Of the game,
Boys like you play,
Now when I hear your name,
I have to laugh to keep from crying,
Maybe I was a little obsessed.
And I hope snowfalls always get to you,
Because they depress me,
But you'll probably never see one again,
Or that's your plans anyway,
Because Arkansas is to cold,
And no matter how many coats you wear,
You just can't take it,
But rumor has it,
There's a girl waiting back home.
And I tried so hard,
To avoid the sparkle in your eyes,
Because I knew you were gone,
And I'm so bad with goodbyes,
Still I didn't care,
I couldn't stop myself,
Why did I hit so hard?
Boys like you,
Never fool me,
To bad you had the best lips ever,
Or it wouldn't have been so tempting,
To never recover,
From the spell you put on me,
If only I hadn't kissed you.
I know it was a line,
When you said I was your "homie",
That's why I rolled my eyes,
Good thing I didn't let you know me,
I just ate the tacos,
And the greenery you gave me,
After I called you names,
And stole all your cookies.
Maybe I was addicted,
To the drama we stirred up,
All the girls laughing at me,
Saying you didn't like me that much.
You left in May,
And Wal-mart still haunts me,
Because I always think I see you,
And antique cars stalk me,
They all look just like your's,
And green eyes taunt me,
Tears are the cure,
I know it's my fault,
You dodged me,
I shouldn't have let myself be lured.
I hope you had fun pretending,
That I was beautiful,
Did you plan on be-friending,
A girl who was bound to fall?
How could I hate you,
When you always stared,
I was just a game you were playing,
And it wasn't fair,
It was a risk I couldn't take,
So I ignored your last call,
Good bye, boy from California,
You only broke my heart a million times,
That's all...
