I'm Gonna

Contributed by fadingaway on Sunday, 2nd January 2011 @ 01:53:32 PM in AEST
Topic: anguished

I'm gonna scream let my light shine through the stars
Gonna set the rage free I've been keeping behind bars
Gonna vent my pain till the earth begins to char
Gonna stop the game, Strike the match light the flame
Set the stage, fill the stream, my tears become rain
Can you see my pain, The truth I hold inside
Can you see the stain, What's left of my broken pride
Can you see the darkness and the monster I must hide
I'm gonna scream till the light then turns to night

I'm gonna run, Run so far away and hide
Till the truth comes smashing through
I'm sorry that I lied
What to do with my pride
With emotions you can never hide
I'm gonna run till my lungs give up the burning
I'm gonna scream till the night then turns to light
The truth inside can you feel my pain
Feel the tears swell up inside
There's nothing left but broken pride

Scream this light through the stars
Free the rage that's behind bars
Strike the match and light the flame
Until we start to play death's game
So far away now were the same
Two broken halves of one I'm sayin'
Gotta run so far and hide
Broken promises accompany shame
