What I Can Offer

Contributed by Jonathon_J_Young on Friday, 31st December 2010 @ 02:18:15 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

You know, I can wait forever,
If you really want me to.
And I can give you all my heart,
If you can give yours too.

I can give you all my strength,
If you stay by my side.
And I’ll protect you till the end,
If in me you confide.

I can help you when you’re down,
Just tell me what is wrong.
And I can, if you’re really sad,
Write you a poem or song.

I can give up all my ways,
If that would make you pleased.
Or I can beg you for your love,
And get down on my knees.

I can cry a thousand tears,
So you could swim to me.
And I can fight a thousand wars,
To find out what could be.

I can put this effort forth,
Until my mind could crack.
But I have one question girl,
Could you return it back?

When people ask that kind of question it makes me wonder if they really want the other person to answer them back ^_^

anyway, keep writing.

always, abraham

This write has a soft flow to it and it just goes. A nice rhythm throughout the write but the ending is the best part for me. Asking the most important question. One of loyalty and devotion. A nice piece of poetry.
