I suggest you read Pablo Neruda as well. If you like Kahlil, you'll like Pablo. Pablo doesn't have the spiritualism really, he's actually on the other side of the spectrum...beautiful writers...if I could only obtain half of their skill...
As for the poem, it was lovely. I like folded whispers.
